Hypnosis is not a closely held secret mastered by Las Vegas stage shows. Hypnosis is a simple state of mind that you make use of every day. After reading the next few paragraphs, I think you’ll see what I mean.

The state of hypnosis is a normal function of your mind. There is no big secret or special power involved. It is the state of mind your brain uses when accessing the huge amount of storage it contains.

Hypnosis is used on most of us very effectively by politicians, and advertising executives. And used poorly by most “pre-owned” car salesman. And yes, it’s used on you by friends and family. And yes, you use it on them too.

Hypnosis is in use when your critical faculty is bypassed. Analytical reason is set aside, or completely bypassed, in favor of emotional behavior Emotional behaviors are quicker and more consistent from person to person. So, more likely to elicit a predictable response. Like when you’re driving and you hear a horn honk behind you. What is your immediate emotional behavior response? Guilt? Anger? Fear? The honking horn may not even be directed at you. The honking horn was honked with the intention of eliciting a rapid response, and it usually does. Sounds complicated until you start seeing how common it is.

If you’re driving home from work and someone cuts you off in traffic, you might be irritated. The fourth person to cut you off on that same trip home? The fourth guy didn’t do anything different than the first guy. Unless you’re the nicest person in the world, odds are you’re MUCH more irritated. That’s emotional association controlling your reaction.

Things like this are constantly happening around you, and everyone else. Many so minor you don’t even notice. Unnoticed until you try to change them. You might experience that as fighting a craving or urge. You’re likely aware that habits are formed in this way, but may not understand how powerful this can be and what a large influence on your life it can have.

The stronger the emotion is, the stronger the association. The stronger the association is, the more vivid the memory. The more vivid the memory, the more real it is to your mind and more influence it has on your behavior. Your mind does not have a real concept of time passing. What it sees in your imagination, or memory, it believes. At least, most of the time.

So, take this concept and apply it to someone with PTSD, or depression. Apply it to that person you know that can’t quite quit smoking or has a favorite comfort food. Apply it to your driving habits, your eating habits, and your stress level. At the risk of being boring, I’ll stop the examples and assume you get it.

Seeing this process in action and understanding the concept can give you a big step forward in changing your habits. Sometimes you can do it on your own. Sometimes it’s easier to use help. Find a professional hypnotist you can trust and use them. That’s their job.

If you look back at your life, you will notice that you might have gotten a lot of negative thoughts ingrained into you, whether they were your well-meaning parents, peers, strangers and even the television or newspapers.

Think about it, how you do you feel when you hear your parents telling you to just find a job and be content with what you have? Or your friends telling you that the girl you like is way out of your league? How about the constant fiancial bad news that seems to seep out from the papers or how some gunmen had killed 16 people in a school shootout? in a television report?

So how do we counter this seemingly endless onslaught of negative thoughts? One way is to introduce positive thoughts to counter it. We are able to do this using hypnosis.

Why hypnosis? Well, according to scientists and people who have researched this field, it turns out that putting people in a suggestive state where their conscious mind is almost absent, helps to introduce thoughts and beliefs into the subconscious mind which may otherwise be rejected by the conscious mind if it was awake. If you think about it, all your negative thoughts were, in a way, hypnotized into you by daily repetition.

It is not that simple however. One reason why a lot of people who tried to use hypnosis to install positive thoughts into them and had limited results is that they have not removed the negative thoughts from their subcoscious mind.

By introducing positive thoughts into the mind without clearing out the old negative ones first, it creates a tension and conflict between the 2 opposites. The person will feel pulled in 2 directions when they try to impllement their goals and plans. Well this is better than just being negative, using hypnosis to first clear out negative thoughts is a much better method. This paves way for future positive thoughts to be installed much easier and without conflict.

Well now that you know the power of hypnosis and what it can potentially do to change your life for the better, why not learn more about it?

You’ve probably heard of hypnotic writing by now… how it can magically suck cash right out of peoples’ pockets, right? In this article, I want to dispel some myths of hypnotic writing and tell you what it can really do.

In any marketing promo there are three parts that experienced marketers realize contribute to the response: the list, the offer and the copy.

The list is the group of people you’re marketing to. The best list is one you created yourself and that you have an ongoing relationship with. It’s possible that you have more than one list to more than one market. That’s where the next item comes in.

Whatever you’re promoting is the offer. It make a substantial difference if you offer pet supplies to an inappropriate list of coffee affectionados. If you offered a pet product to a pet list you still need to make sure the rest of your offer is good. How’s the product? The price? The payment options? In addition to the list and offer, you need…

Great copywriting. Even hypnotic copywriting. If you have a great offer for the right people but they can’t understand why they should buy it… they probably won’t. That’s where hypnotic writing comes in.

Many people think hypnosis is about tricking people while they’re asleep… or something like that. Hypnosis is simply a state of heightened awareness. That awareness is usually inwardly focused though which is why people trance out. Hypnosis can help people make changes under certain circumstances. You can’t make anyone do anything they would be against while awake.

Modern hypnosis works because it gently makes suggestions that allow the subconscious to do what the conscious wanted it to do. Can hypnotic writing then make it easier for people to buy? Definitely… as long as that’s what they otherwise would want to do. If you do manage to trick people into buying, you’ll have more than your fair share of returns and angry ex-customers. Obviously that’s not good for long term business.

As long as you’re using hypnotic writing ethically, you’ll boost your sales. Remember though that the list and the offer need to be there before much cash can start flowing your way.
